Live Production & Streaming Systems
Alongside my infrastructure and networking work, I have experience designing, configuring, and operating live production and streaming systems in environments where timing, coordination, and reliability are critical.
Context
This work primarily supported live events and services where technical failures are immediately visible and recovery needs to happen in real time. Systems needed to be reliable, predictable, and easy to operate under pressure.
Areas of Work
- Live streaming system setup and operation
- Video switching and live directing
- Camera system configuration and signal flow
- Presentation workflows and confidence monitors
- Coordination between technical and production teams
Tools & Systems
This work involved a range of production tools and platforms, including presentation software, video switching systems, camera infrastructure, and streaming platforms. Tooling varied by environment, but the focus remained on reliability and operator confidence.
What This Demonstrates
Working in live production environments reinforces many of the same skills required for infrastructure and operations work: calm decision-making under pressure, clear communication, anticipation of failure modes, and systems thinking across multiple disciplines.
